After hosting the Emmys in 2009 and 2013, as well as last year's Tony Awards, Variety has revealed that actor Neil Patrick Harris will host the 2015 Academy Awards. A supporting actor in David Fincher's hit Gone Girl (expected to be getting lots of attention come awards season), the 41-year-old took to social media to confirm the news. Reactions to recent hosts have been mixed, with comedians Seth Macfarlane (Family Guy, Ted) and Ellen DeGeneres (Finding Nemo) taking a crack in 2013 and 2014, respectively, so hopefully Harris' experience leading these big events will make next year's Awards a winner. The 87th Oscars will air on ABC on February 22nd. Are you looking forward it?

Get ready for a musical number though, or two or three, or maybe 15

Yup, he'd have been a Flash to my liking. And oh yeah, will there ever be musical numbers!

He is the Barry Allen we should have gotten. Instead we get Ezra Miller, who is even younger then Grant Gustin. Which I thought he was younger then Barry should be. So of course WB goes with a younger kid who is closer to the age of Wally West.
