The actor reveals that director Gareth Evans pushed him to his limits. “It was a physically demanding role. I'm in helicopters. We're on trucks and trains and we're moving giant missiles... things are crashing around us. You're getting close to death. There's a lot of stuff that's made it really active."

@Question

Just shut up...seriously I am tired of seeing folks create their own theories from an innocent statement. He is obviously talking about all he had to do, so your destruction porn comment is idiotic.

You gave your opinion, now I just gave my opinion about your opinion.

Why wouldn't a Godzilla movie be "destruction porn"? It's about a giant creature that destroys stuff when he walks around.

Hell, look at all of the destruction the different Power Rangers did when they were "saving everyone". If it's not destruction porn, then they didn't try their best to make the movie life-like

Some of you are as ignorant as you are retarded. Godzilla and Hulk are meant to symbolize mankind's intervention in nature. Both symbolize the destruction and monstrosity that was the A-Bomb and nuclear deterrents. They're suppose to reflect the destruction that can be caused.... Of course this movie is going to be Man of Steel + Pacific Rim + Avengers.... It's the king of monsters for God(zilla) sakes!

Yeah, I don't want to see Godzilla holding Ghidorah's skull and skreeonking Shakespeare. I want to see cities turned into parking lots.
