Warner Brothers/GAME UK have officially announced that very gorgeous looking Batmobile Edition of the highly anticipated game Batman: Arkham Knight has been cancelled.

The sad news came with an email from GAME reading:
"Regrettably, due to unforeseen circumstances that greatly compromised the quality of the Batmobile, included with the Batman: Arkham Knight - Batmobile Edition, Warner Brothers have decided not to release this product"

Whilst this is VERY disappointing news for Batman collectors, GAME have generously offered customers £20 off the Arkham Knight Red Hood Edition, which is only available at GAME. I for one think it's an absolute joke Warner Brothes have decided to announce this 5 days before launch, and I'm hoping its just one of those accidental emails what tend to happen once in a while.

Whether or not this is only a UK only thing has yet to be seen, but if anyone could provide an update to see if this is the case for the rest of the world, that would be great!

Batman: Arkham Knight brings the award-winning Arkham trilogy from Rocksteady Studios to its epic conclusion. Developed exclusively for New-Gen platforms, Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady's uniquely designed version of the Batmobile. The highly anticipated addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City. In this explosive finale, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city that he is sworn to protect, as Scarecrow returns to unite the super criminals of Gotham and destroy the Batman forever.

That sucks, sounds like a factory malfunction. Better than selling a broken piece of garbage.

People are seriously mad over this? Really? Think back for a moment, there are hardly any decent collector's editions that are worth their pricetag. I rather a company say, "Hey, man. Look, the designers and crafters of the item you wanted made it extremely cheap and it's basically crap and not worth the money. So we'll give you your money back and please, here's a discount coupon for the inconvenience." than to just ship them all out and have me get a piece of shit. Rocksteady did the smart thing here.

And to all of you ignorant idiots, you should damn well know that this is not PS2/Xbox days. Thanks to DLC and add ons, releasing an unfinished game is no big deal. Buying a game at launch, you should know there will be bugs. Trust me, I miss the golden days of PS1 and N64, but that's just the way it is in gaming today. Deal with it.
