Reports the site, "Production on Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is expected to be in full swing by the end of this month. Timur Bekmambetov is directing for Fox and producer Tim Burton and has targeted New Orleans, Louisiana as the main area to shoot. The [WannabeSite] reports that a major warehouse in the area is being utilized to build White House sets as well as young Abe's home."

Both Smith and Burton will also be collaborating on the big screen adaptation of Dark Shadow (starring Johnny Depp as vampire Barnabas Collins) which goes before the cameras in April.

Josh Brolin would make a great Lincoln! Or Stephen Lang or Liam Neeson?

Superspider - its an alternate history based on finding a fictional Licoln Journal regarding his hidden past as a vampire hunter... it takes major known events of his life, and events that's details have been lost in history and interweaves this vampire hunting backstory.

Basically his mother is killed by one and he swears vengeance on the lot of them, to only later realize how much of an important part vampires played in the creation and growth of the America's.. as well as the historical story of his youth and rise to power aswell as his fight against the slave trade.

Taking out the vampire references the book itself is a very good historical piece.

The book is told though the word of a writer who is using the lost Journal along with historical facts to tell the true life story of Abe Lincoln. Anyone who is interested in history or more specifically American history, or anyone that like vampire stories will really enjoy this book.

Thomas stood aghast. “Look what you’ve done,” he said after a sickened silence. “You’ve killed us.”

“On the contrary … I’ve killed him.”

“More will come.”

Abe had already begun to walk away.

“Then I shall need more stakes.”
