After much anticipation and being a hit with critics (96% with an average critic rating of 7.4/10 on RottenTomatoes as of this writing) CBS' new series, Supergirl, finally had its premiere last night and it looks like it was a massive hit in ratings! CBS' Supergirl soared with a 3.1 rating/10 share in adults 18-49 with a total of 12.95 million viewers, tying NBC's Blindspot as the fall's top premiere and leading in total viewers for new shows. Much of this success probably has to do with its lead in being The Big Bang Theory, as it retained 70% of that series' young adult audience, but next week Supergirl has to try to make it on her own as it won't TV's number one comedy as its lead it.
