Seems like the license has expired for Activision, and all of their Marvel based games have been removed from Steam, Xbox Live, and PSN.

It's being reported that the Marvel based Activision titles that have been removed are Deadpool, X-Men: The Official Game, X-Men: Destiny, X-Men: Origins - Wolverine, and Spider-Man titles such as Edge of time, Shatter Dimensions, Friend or Foe, and Web of Shadows.

The movie tie-in video game of The Amazing Spider-Man is still available, and Dan Amrich, community manager at Activision, has confirmed that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie tie-in video is still on track to release alongside the film this spring.

So what do you guys and gals think? Is Disney trying to get all the video game properties under one roof to make a shared video game universe? Let me know in the comments below!

Who's gonna make Marvel games now? Hope WB can do a co-fi with Marvel. would be amazing to use their current resources or Take Two Interactive.

Either way two very good destinations for gaming.

Or they'll just make another company that focuses on games.

Recently got Injustice a couple weeks ago. It's amazing. No surprise because it's NetherRealm Studios. Let them do a Marvel fighting game. Then we can get what a real Marvel fighting experience is like with an interesting story and everything. Also, let's get more than just Spidey games out.

Sweet. Hopefully they'll get a really great studio to make great games like the Batman Arkham games, Assassin's Creed, or even Halo and Bioshock.

X-Men: Destiny could have been such a great game (from the original description)... And it turned out so bad.

I wonder who will make the new batch of Marvel based games... Time for new games to come back out for home systems. Don't put all this focus on mobile games

The only Marvel games I played and enjoyed were Ultimate Alliance, especially 1. God those were good times.

A free roam Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Falcon, and Winter Soldier game similiar to the Arkham games would be the business

It's funny. It just occurred to me that we only got spiderman games and batman games. We haven't even touched another superhero. It's good that both these games are anticipated too. Heck for a movie tie-in game of spidey it's highly anticipated
