Fans Petition Fox To Sell The Fantastic Four Rights Back To Marvel Studios

After less than stellar reviews, and a poor performance at the box office opening weekend fans are not afraid to voice their opinions about Fox’s Fant4stic. Fans also aren't afraid to tell Fox what they should do with the rights to The Fantastic Four....

Do you want Fox to sell the Fantastic Four rights back to Marvel Studios?

As entertaining as this whole Fox/FF fiasco has been, stuff like this really makes me groan.

You can't MAKE Fox do anything because you signed a dumb petition.

Look as much as I want the Fantastic Four back at Marvel Studio, these things never work though and it's nothing more than a futile and childish attempt. Remember the petition that demanded Ben Afflecks removal Batman v Superman?

Seriously these kinds of petitions are pitiful and a waste of time.

@MexicanSuperman

I am agreeing with you. Hench the tittle of the article that i wrote "Why the failure of Fantastic Four is not a victory as fans claims"

whatever, I'll sign it as more of a statement, because petitions have NEVER helped in the comic book industry in terms of what the fans actually want it to do. It isn't like Jesus is going to come down and be like, "now, Fox, I've heard you've been naughty, its time to sell the rights to Marvel, you hear?"

Not only is this pointless, because is not gonna change anything, it's actually a mockery and an insult to change.org which is supposed to be used for actually important worthwhile causes.

...but what the heck, I signed.

This is still useless and dumb as [frick] though.

Signed.

@DeusExSponge

This isn't over a casting, this is about The Fantastic Four, Fox had 3 chances and they still haven't given us anything good. The box office earnings do not look good, this film could bomb really, really badly and cost Fox money.

It will be hard to convince shareholders and the studio execs for a sequel. In this situation a petition is good, and it makes sense. Fantastic Four fit much batter at Marvel Studios

When there are actual legitimate causes that deserve petitions but we get this

I signed it even though I don't believe in internet petitions.

The petition itself won't do anything, but there is a distinct possibility that the fans letting FOX know that they're not happy + the shitty box-office would cause them to rethink their strategy.

Probably not, though. And if not, then let FOX burn themselves to the ground.

Won't this backfire? I could see Fox seeing the love that fans have for F4 and realizing that they can still capitalize on the brand.

It would be better to start a petition to give to Marvel that asks them to buy the rights. That would incentive Marvel, not Fox.

I mean...right?

It's kinda douchey to demand that they sell something that rightfully belongs to them. I want them to sell too, but I mean, they bought the rights fair and square.

I wonder how many people who have signed this, or about to, have also signed a petition for an actual cause in the past year or so... I admit that I haven't, nor would I ever go out of my way to sign this crap either.

All this petition will do is show Fox how many people actually care about the property and hence how much mula can be banked if they get it right for once. No one is going to "Make" them sell the rights back. Best shot is hoping they want that X-men tv show bad enough.

DrHankPym - While I do think that Fantastic Four are more suited for the MCU, I still think that this petition is ridiculous!

Patrick as Reed is a fantastic choice, I MIGHT be on board with Johnny Storm, Jeffrey dean morgan has a "thing" voice so that would be amazing, I would still love to see Alexis Denisof attached to Mr. Fantastic. The guy is a very underrated actor and the only thing he's doing right now is fathering children with the red head from american pie(who is also a mainstay in buffy, and her name is Alyson Hannigan, they met on the show, "The more you know", aha) Sue is a tough nut to crack, Charlize would be great if she doesn't get involved in another superhero movie but I fear she will be too old by then.
