Ansel Elgort In Talks For DUNGEONS & DRAGONS

Actor Ansel Elgort, best known for The Fault In Our Stars and The Divergent series, is in talks to star in WB's live-action Dungeons & Dragons film? Could this be the next great fantasy epic?

After missing out on the role of young Han Solo in the prequel Star Wars films, Ansel Elgort is reportedly in deep contract negotiations to play the lead in Warner Bros.' live-action Dungeons & Dragons film.  Lets face it, with The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies mined for all their worth, there hasn't been a good fantasy film in a few years (though Warcraft wasn't as bad as critics made it out to be).  Could Dungeons & Dragons fill that void?

Fresh off Goosebumps, Rob Letterman is set to direct from a screenplay written by David Leslie Johnson (Wrath of the Titans).

Let's hope it's close to what Shia Lebouef wanted. A gang paying it and throughout we see what they see in their heads.

Give us the true D&D!

I'd prefer to see this table top RPG series get a movie instead.

If they can turn Dungeons and Dragons into a successful franchise, both financially and in quality, then I would be so incredibly happy. And I hope Legendary can continue with Warcraft and make that into a successful franchise too.

Why can they not just make a Forgotten Realms movie with Drizzt and Wulfgar and the crew? Its a great character that people love.

If they really want to make D&D a successful film franchise they would start with those.

Oh, and put some actual production into it and make it not suck....that too.

Dear would-be creators of future fantasy films...

Don't allow any of your actors to use an american accent. It completely removes any immersion. Please see 'Warcraft' or the first D&D feature film if you need evidence of this.

That is all. Carry on!

How about landing a director before the actor
