With a little less than two weeks to go, Warner Bros. has gone ahead and released over sixty beautiful hi-resolution stills from David Yates' upcoming The Legend of Tarzan. The film stars Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood) as the titular hero with Margot Robbie (Suicide Squad) as his lady love Jane Porter. The supporting cast consists of Samuel L. Jackson (Avengers: Age Of Ultron) as Tarzan's ally George Washington Williams, Christoph Waltz (Spectre) as the film's villain Captain Léon Rom, Djimon Hounsou (Furious 7) as Chief Mbonga, and John Hurt (Hercules) as Jane's father Prof. Archimedes Q. Porter.

With that cast and the director of the last four Harry Potter films, could this be the surprise hit of the summer? Check out the stunning photos below and don't miss the film in theaters July 1!

It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.

The Legend Of Tarzan features:
Director: David Yates
Alexander Skarsgård as Tarzan/John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke
Margot Robbie as Jane Porter
Samuel L. Jackson as George Washington Williams
Christoph Waltz as Captain Léon Rom
Djimon Hounsou as Chief Mbonga
John Hurt as Prof. Archimedes Q. Porter
Jim Broadbent in an undisclosed role
Casper Crump as Captain Kerchover
Hadley Fraser as Tarzan's father
Simon Russell Beale in an undisclosed role
Rory J. Saper as young Tarzan
Ella Purnell as young Jane Porter

The Legend Of Tarzan swings into theaters July 1

Another impending box office disappointment for WB. This will make BvS look like 'Avatar' or 'SW:TFA'.

Am I the only one who thinks that Skarsgard looks oddly CGI in this pic? http://imgbox.com/edGDkrVu

Having read all the Tarzan books as a kid, I am looking forward to this film. It looks like the Tarzan I read coming to life on the screen, which we have yet to see in live action. Greystoke didn't cut it for me.

Not gonna lie, as a huge fan of the animated Tarzan movie, this live action movie looks lame and cliché as hell

If they're giving that much away, it can't be a good sign....nothing is going to beat the 80s Greystoke version anyway.
