Yesterday at PaleyFest the audience were shown 2 new promo's for both ARROW and The Flash. Both clip's are in low quality but still show's a lot of interesting thing's on the upcoming episode's of Arrow and The Flash.

The arrow is probably considered a villain due to the little dude in the green hood...

As for flash, show will be good, but couldn't tell shit from the promo (besides the Eddie stuff)

When I found them on SpoilerTV, someone said whoever posted them on YouTube didn't get all of The Flash. Maybe we'll know if that's true or not if there's another one that doesn't show the clip in three different parts. Also, there's a tiny break that appears to be in the Arrow one as well.

It makes sense, though. Eobard Thawne killed Iris West, so making any take on Thawne being some rival love interest for Iris, to some degree, fits. It isn't word for word like the comics, but it still ties the three together just fine.

My biggest nitpick would have to be that it doesn't feel as natural as the Slade/Shado/Ollie love triangle. I'd have to say I like what they did with that idea, but Eddie/Iris/Barry could feel a bit more natural since it hasn't, really. Perhaps that's because it's always been on the back burner from everything else the show has provided. With something happening to Eddie, it could be more up front now with the plot.

Also, what happened with Slade also never felt like an actual love triangle.

I don't think you got it right. Slade Wilson understood that Shado loved Ollie and not him and it was only when he was injected by the Mirakuru that it finally messed with his head to the point where he became obsessed with Shado years after her death with still seeing her infront of him and even having footage of her(I still wonder how he even got that). When he was even cured, by the time of "The Return", it's not so much of an obsession now as he has a clearer head, even saying to Ollie that if he had known about the truth about Shado's death that Moira could still be alive, but he still blames Ollie for lying to him; it's just not a paranoia anymore without the Mirakuru.

I think it's going to end up being like this:

The League sends someone to attack the mayor dressed as The Arrow and while Roy is impersonating as The Arrow when Lance arrests him, Ollie goes after the attacker himself and that's who he's fighting.

Roy is dressed as The Arrow to trick Lance while Ollie faces the copycat who'll still be dressed as The Arrow as well.
