Amazing! I am very impressed with this movie for the last couple of days. Parallax looks real amazing and scary. Kilowog and Tomar-Re are fantastic and I can´t talk about Sinestro. It isn´t need for me to say that Mark Strong looks perfect as Sinestro.

i'm getting the sinking feeling that the reynolds bashers might just be unclear on the concept of acting, you know? he's acting nothing like van wilder or waiting, but just because a line is humorous they say he's being a clown. i figure they saw van wilder in buried and the nines, too.

i wonder if they also have a problem with evans in cap (i keep expecting him to catch fire!) bale in the fighter (i keep expecting him to throw a batarang!) jackman in wolverine (i keep expecting him to start singing and dancing!) or portman in thor (i keep expecting her to pole dance or shoot a blaster or buy milk for the cleaner next door!).

people say that gary oldman is a chameleon but not every actor has the luxury of landing parts in which his makeup, costumes, accent and voice are completely different from anything else he's ever done. you don't need to suspend your disbelief when the audiovisuals are so distinctive.

watch the trailer again. if anything, ryan's acting is VERY understated... he's even delivering the joke lines on a measured beat so they're underplayed and seem like something a real person might say. none of this is unrealistic, hammy, goofy or clowny, with the exception of the "i know, right?" which, although terrible, seems like an exception, not the way he's playing the character the whole time.

some people aren't clever enough to understand that actors are ACTORS. hal jordan's busy schedule did not allow him to star as himself.

the problem isn't reynolds, it's your simple-mindedness, lack of imagination, bad attitude, haterness, or the fact that in this era of special effects and artificiality you expect everything to bow to your personal demand for authenticity every single time. but i'll tell you a secret: robin williams, steve martin, bill murray, denis leary, and a thousand other actors transitioned from comedy to drama, and reynolds has done it too... you just haven't seen those movies because all you watch is iron man and free porn.
