Kevin Feige Says That GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 3 Is "Certainly" Part Of Marvel's Phase Four Plans

Even though we're not out of Phase Three yet, Marvel CEO Kevin Feige is already looking ahead to Phase Four! In a recent interview, Feige said that GOTG 3 is one of the films post-Infinity War.

After Infinity War Part 2, Marvel Studios currently has three untitled films that are set to be released on the following dates: May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020, and November 6, 2020. While fans take guesses as to what those films could be, Kevin Feige in a recent interview with i09, revealed that one of those Phase four films is certainly Guardians of the Galaxy 3“We’re only working on what’s been announced through the end of 2019. And it is still a big chess board for 2020 and beyond, but certainly I would say Guardians 3 is [one film that’s] up there. I don’t know what exactly the order will be.” If Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 is a success, I'm pretty sure Marvel will ask James Gunn to return.

In a separate interview with Fandango, Kevin Feige spoke more on Phase Four, and revealed that they will make big announcement regarding the two films between the two Avengers: Infinity War films. "I think we’ll be announcing a filmmaker in the next month or two, and probably some cast members later in the summer, at the end of the summer." Feige then stated that Captain Marvel will be "about Carol Danvers and that journey to being Captain Marvel," and when he was asked about a solo Black Widow film, Feige said we could possibly see it at some point in the future. "Yes, for sure, I think [Black] Widow at some point would be great." He then added, "But when you start talking about things that are now four/five years away…sometimes we do that. Dr. Strange has been talked about for ten years. But we’re focused on the next nine movies, which is a lot, between now and 2019."

What other films do you think Marvel will release in Phase 4? Will we see another Avengers film? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

I'm confused how Phase 3 works. So we have IW:P1 then we have 2 solo movies then IW:P2. Are the solo movies extensions of the Avengers movies or is the time of release not the same as the timeline within the universe?

@marvelstudios - They come back for a big cinematic event & then go back to their respective franchise sequels. I think that's how it works.

@McU - But that's a little strange. So the war against Thanos pauses for 2 movies?

@marvelstudios - That's what happened after The Avengers. After the chitauri invasion they all went back to their personal franchise & again showed together at starting scene of AOU, just like that. That's how these films work.
Speaking of Strange, where is goddamn trailer?

@McU - True, but Avengers 1 and 2 were independent stories. Avengers 3 & 4 are following the same Infinity War story.

I think it comes out with the next Jimmy Kimmel episode whenever that is.

@marvelstudios - they have said the Infinity movies will tell their own stories in each part, Part 1 does no lead to Part 2. both will tell their own standalone stories, meaning once part 1 is over the characters will go back to their lifes which is how Ant-Man 2 and Cap Marvel can occur, before they have to assemble again to fight Thanos in Part 2

@eagc1995 - Fair enough. Can't wait to see it all pan out.

@marvelstudios - Also we don't exactly know where Infinity War P1 is taking place or what happens. It could take place in Space, It could be the Black Order who shows up and Thanos is still not here yet because he just crushed Xandar and Asgard. Heck we'll just have to wait and see. But they'll definitely need Carol's help

@marvelstudios - There is no current war against Thanos to pause, The Guardians have their agendas. no one really knows what Thanos is ploting the Avengers currently have no clue who he is..only Loki..and Thor had a vision about the infinity stones

@marvelstudios - i dont know how independent theses stories can be..when "its all connecte"d..example..agent coulson in AOS is the reason the AVengers found Strukers base in AOU.. Coulson had intel in the Cube Fury gave him which he gave to Agent Hill..it had intel about the where abouts of Loki's septer..and the Hellicarrier Fury salvaged

What would be the name for Phase 4 Avengers movie?

Avengers : A New Hope perhaps?

@EroticNeurotic - Hopefully Masters of Evil, Dark Avengers, Korvac Saga, if the F4 rights reverse then Kang the Conqueror, Annihilus for the guardians, Galactus, and I see the MCU ending with Secret Wars
