GHOSTBUSTERS Animated Movie Finally Gets A Director

GHOSTBUSTERS Animated Movie Finally Gets A Director

In addition to their live-action reboot, Sony has an animated Ghostbusters feature in the works, and it's being reported that Clash Of Clans commercial director Fletcher Moules will helm the project.

Looks like we really are getting that expanded Ghostbusters "universe", as THR reports that a director has boarded Sony Pictures' planed animated feature. According to them, Fletcher Moules (the popular Clash Of Clans commercials) will oversee the project as both animator and director.

The question is, which team will he be bringing to life? If this is to be in continuity with the live-action reboot it's unlikely we'll see Egon, Ray, Winston and Peter again - but it could focus on some brand new characters, as THR also confirms that another big-screen Ghostbusters flick is in the works that could star Channing Tatum, with Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America: Civil War) on board to direct and produce.

What do you guys think? With Ghostbusters co-creator Ivan Reitman producing, is there hope for this one?

well...it will probably be better than the one with the un-funny comedians in it. Unless, of course, its full of fat and fart jokes a la McCarthy's only humor.

I hope it follows the original cast and wouldn't it be funny if this movie does better than the other one?

Maybe they will do a Filmation's Ghostbusters? Cross over with He-Man? Then go back to Queen Marlena Home Planet (Earth) and cross over with the other Ghost busters? Then head into the containment unit for some reason and there's Prime Evil and Skeletor. Yeah that'd be something else.

So is this a Sony 'thing' now to do both live action and animated features of franchises? They're doing it with Spider-Man and now Ghostbusters?
