Looks like the first full trailer for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will be with us on August 9, but for now you can get a first look at the movie in the form of a very brief teaser.

There's only a few seconds of actual footage, but we do get a pretty cool glimpse of Milla Jovovich's zombie-killing badass, Alice, on a motorcycle.

Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, humanity is on its last legs after Alice is betrayed by Wesker in Washington D.C. As the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead hordes, Alice must return to where the nightmare began – Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse. In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.

Starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Iain Glen, Shawn Roberts, Ruby Rose, Eoin Macken, William Levy, Fraser James, and Rola, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is set to be released on January 27th, 2017.

I don't even know what's going on in this series anymore. Everything just gets weirder and weirder with each movie.

@2013venjix - i think Mila's stuntwoman died making this and it really messed Mila up... that will likely result in this being the final movie.

I flipping love how ridiculous this series has become. They're like big budget B-movies. I can't wait for this one!

However, I have to say I hate the whole "trailer for a trailer" thing.

Milla Jovovich doesn't age. She looks pretty much the same as she did in Dazed and Confused 23 years ago.

Will this actually be the Final Chapter? Or are they gonna make another one after this? Cause I remember that we got Saw 3D: The Final Chapter, and now there's going to be a sequel to that one.

Finally, get this out ASAP and let this franchise die already. This series went from very unfaithful but tolerable, to cheesy cult horror, to cluster f*** cash grab, and for some reason people keep eating this garbage. I would have been okay with this series if it ended after #3, but this is just getting ridiculous.

Wait a good 5-10 years and then give us a proper horror reboot which is at least somewhat faithful to plot, characters, and atmosphere of the source material.
