"The Incredible Hulk" Sequel

Has the green gamma giant gone into permanent hiding?
As far as Edward Norton returning as The Hulk, Feige said, "I think there's always a chance. It's certainly our intention to use the same actors from film-to-film where we can."(He's talking about the "Avengers" movie) However, should you be anticipating an The Incredible Hulk 2 you may be waiting a longtime, that is if it happens at all, as Feige added, "That would be post-Avengers if that happened."

I hope they do a sequel, I enjoyed the first movie.

Eric Bana should play Hulk in The Avengers!
Ozymandias - 7/27/2009, 3:07 PM
Have to disagree @Ozymandias Edward Norton should return in both the Avengers and the Incredible Hulk 2
Frogman - 7/27/2009, 3:15 PM
@Frogman I dont think Edward Norton is going to come back but if he doesnt it should be Eric Bana who plays HULK!
Ozymandias - 7/27/2009, 3:19 PM
The Avenger's thread started on Norton's movie, not Bana's. It was RDJ that approached William Hurt's General Ross. It was Norton's Hulk! It would be really weird, and perhaps too confusing to swap the two Banners back and forth. I would suggest a new director. Leterrier did well, but the movie could've been way better. Ang Lee's was too moody and contemplative. TIH should have fast paced rythym, but not sacrifice drama either. The love triangle between Betty, Bruce, and Doc Samson was cut out. That would have set up more intrigue and foundations for other installments.
Phinehas - 7/27/2009, 3:22 PM
@Ozymandias
It's highly unlikely that Eric Bana will come back as Hulk and if Edward Norton doesn't come back it will most likely be a new guy.
charbelelnasr - 7/27/2009, 3:24 PM
dont worry this will happen with Norton but i think it will be after the first Avengers

SHAKE N' BAKE
TheShakeBake - 7/27/2009, 3:24 PM
I know. I was just dreaming...
Ozymandias - 7/27/2009, 3:28 PM
I think that the first half of the Avengers will be about a team forming up to stop the Hulk and he will be the antagonist and a hidden force (perhaps Braniac) is manipulating hulks path of destruction. The second half will be about Redemption, team work and fighting the true enemy.
Sirius - 7/27/2009, 3:59 PM
@Sirius:HULK MUST NOT BE THE ANTAGONIST!!!
Ozymandias - 7/27/2009, 4:02 PM
I liked Incredible Hulk, but I don't see Norton returning in Avengers...I think that the whole experience for ONE movie was like pulling teeth. Some actors, no matter how great they are, are not into the whole franchise thing...Look at Ryan Gosling
TheDurkinKnight - 7/27/2009, 4:09 PM
@sirius: i guess you mean the leader right? not brainiac

@DurkinKnight: I thought Norton was up for sequels
Frogman - 7/27/2009, 4:20 PM
I liked TIH..felt right to me so i hope they stick with it....i bet if they did a sequel it would receive a much better reception now we know what to expect :)
teabag - 7/27/2009, 4:29 PM
norton will be in the avengers, he wont pass it up. but they will never make a hulk sequel. they will have too much other stuff on thier plate.
superdog - 7/27/2009, 4:46 PM
If Norton isnt in it, they will go without Banner and just Hulk it up the whole time.
CaptainAmerica - 7/27/2009, 5:53 PM
ya serious, i think u mean the leader, cuz brainiac is from dc comics. but ya, i hope they do a hulk sequel, and im sure they will. I didnt mind the original, and TIH was really great, but i wanna see more of every1s fave green behemoth onscreen!

woo hoo!
jallanr - 7/27/2009, 6:22 PM
Since Marvel was told to cut down on the live action movie I find these unlikely
Supermike - 7/27/2009, 8:38 PM
sighs. Just put Hulk in the Avengers Flick.
Scorpioxfactor - 7/27/2009, 9:05 PM
They both suck. They should just replace the actor every movie. Who cares about Banner anyway? Hes a bitch.
Jojo Risin - 7/27/2009, 11:55 PM
supermike you're an a$$ hole. And Retarded.
Kratos6 - 7/28/2009, 2:51 AM
@mr. mojo risin

no kidding. i went to see the green giant. not the wimp.

GO GREEN MACHINE!!!!
grif - 7/28/2009, 3:42 AM
I cant handle all this messing around....it seems impossible to keep any sort of continuity..keep the hulk looking the same and keep the same actors/characters. its so tacky when you change all the time. We definitly need a sequen..doesnt have to feed into the avengers..more than enough content to go it alone..i.e leader
The only say of sunshine is were getting a 3rd Iron Man film
marcolanni - 7/28/2009, 3:59 AM
I dont care for Eric Bana, his acting to me is very stiff. Granted it was a boring movie but, he didnt do alot to get me excited in HULK. I really hope to see Edward Norton come back and reprise Banner. I loved the Incredible Hulk.
longbowhunter - 7/28/2009, 5:10 AM
There's nothing like waking up, turning on your computer and hearing more bad news-f**k. Marvel needs to kiss up a bit to Ed norton and resolve some of these issues with him. I'd hate to see him go, I'd hate to see them drop the ball on the hulk.
ASSASSIN666 - 7/28/2009, 5:23 AM
Who cares what BRUCE BANNER it is, he's back! Cool news about a new sequel anyway, yay!!!!

Atleast we're getting one lol! ; )

I personally like both movies!

By the way, ED's contracted to come back!

Damn cool HULK 3!!! I mean HULK 2! ; D

Supermike @ Pi$$ off and go and play will ya BRATZ dolls with your HULK Fists! : D
LEEE777 - 7/28/2009, 5:54 AM
What went down with Ed Norton and the movie production?
The only thing i remember hearing is something about the Final Edit??????

Fill me in.
I loved this movie and can't think of what else it needed. Of course I would like all movies to have more action, but I understand the budget and they can only do so much.

HULK2 FTW !!!!
vonstallin - 7/28/2009, 6:52 AM
I hope they make one after the Avengers, but if not then they should at least stay true to the original Avengers line up and have the Hulk in there. As far as the changes in actors from Bana to Norton that was a contractual issue, Bana was contracted to Universal and Marvel would probably have had to buy him out of that contract, which made no sense when they were able to get a quality actor like Norton without getting into buying out contracts etc.
Cheesey1 - 7/28/2009, 7:16 AM
They can't forget about the Hulk. There is so much potential there. And they better include him in the Avengers movie.
MIDAS - 7/28/2009, 7:16 AM
Norton wanted a longer running time, and marvel wanted to have the movie come in at 1 hour 45 mins. Marvel felt the first movie was too long for kids to relate to. They should also consider the adults like myself who go for long running times, providing the story is worth it.
ASSASSIN666 - 7/28/2009, 7:20 AM
Hey LEEE, I have a pair of the Hulk Hands. They're Incredible...
Cheesey1 - 7/28/2009, 7:20 AM
I hope Norton comes back, I think he did a good job.
Bandrews1 - 7/28/2009, 7:24 AM
i wanted a sequel before the avengers. but they have to have hulk in avengers. tony went to see the general at the end of the movie. edward needs to come back
droopy1317 - 7/28/2009, 7:38 AM
@marcolanni. Hypothetically, if your boss asked you to sign a 10 year contract that would consume all of your time, and force you to commit to a particular project at work without being able to work on anything else, find a new job, or leave the project if need be without breaching your contract resulting in legality and fees up the wahoo, would you do it?

Answer should be probably not. These actors need to think about themselves. A long term project with continuity would require serious commitment from a lot of busy people. And if the series flopped financially, then you have 50+ individuals (cast wise) that invested a few years of their lives that they can never get back, and in this business is something they can't afford.

It would be great to see the same people throughout the series, don't get me wrong, but I see it almost as in the comics, different artists and writers have different takes on characters. So should actors. You can't honestly tell me that Claremont Scott Summers is the same as original Scott Summers? It's a stretch but I feel we get more from our characters when different studios/actors try their hands at the roles.

Fact of the matter is, we just got spoiled with RDJ.
Vic M - 7/28/2009, 7:42 AM
if i had those hulk hands i would punch supermike right in the balls double fisted style cause hes an ASSHOLE!!!!
superdog - 7/28/2009, 7:47 AM
Ozymandias,
Chances are better than good that Hulk will be the antagonist for at least part of the movie. But really more like the cat's paw because in the story, Loki tricks the Hulk into attacking the newly formed Avengers, and then when they figure out what happened Hulk briefly teams up with them. So really it's Loki that is the antagonist.
DarthMulder - 7/28/2009, 7:48 AM
Superdog, I don't think that was the intended use of the Hulk Hands... I actually feel a bit sorry for SuperMike. Why can't the two of you just get along? I mean you both have super in your names, who knows you may be related.
Cheesey1 - 7/28/2009, 8:19 AM
Ang Lee's "HULK" is dope
HAQ - 7/28/2009, 8:43 AM
hahahaha Cheesy1, it's because Supermike is a troll and a psycho and he made an unflattering rermark about Superdog's young child.
DarthMulder - 7/28/2009, 8:57 AM
DarthMulder, thanks for clarifying. I think I'll just mind my own business then...
Cheesey1 - 7/28/2009, 9:11 AM
@ Ozymandias, Did you see the animated Avengers? Hulk was th antagonist through that and it turned out pretty good.
WulfComicFan - 7/28/2009, 9:11 AM
Darth......you mean my little girl not superdogs and all this will stop to a cetain degree if he just apologises to me....till then he's an asshole :)
teabag - 7/28/2009, 9:41 AM
@ Ozymandias: Dude, you just made me laugh so hard! Eric Bana play Hulk, again!?!? Ahahahaha! Holy [frick]ing fail!
BmanHall - 7/28/2009, 10:30 AM
yeah Darth.. it was Teabag´s adorable young baby who that ()*() Supermike talked the "Doomsday" trash comment-

Teabag_ Oh, so you are open to an Apology-Stop the War here?

---
On Topic. I don´t understand why they didn´t hurry with TIHulk2 so it could be out in 2010 along with IM2 as well.
BOTTOM LINE: FEIGE IS CONFIRMING THAT, AT LEAST THE BRUCE BANNER CHARACTER (obviously Hulk too??) WILL BE IN THE AVENGERS MOVIE
SirJediFrank - 7/28/2009, 11:19 AM
DAMN.
GUNSMITH - 7/28/2009, 11:43 AM
Who do you think will be the other villains in the movie besides Loki?
Ozymandias - 7/28/2009, 12:17 PM
How about none of the abaove?!
Synopsis: The American military found out where Bruce Banner was hiding out and dropped a gamma bomb on him. It didn't destroy him but now he's stuck as the Hulk. The whole movie! No whining actors needed...
Wrigs - 7/28/2009, 1:26 PM
@ Ozymandias: Probably Namor the Sub-Mariner.
BmanHall - 7/28/2009, 1:53 PM
I FREAKIN LOVED THE INCREDIBLE HULK!!!!!!!! IT IS THE FIRST COMIC BOOK MOVIE THAT I CAME OUT OF MORE PUMPED UP THAN WHEN I WALKED IN! HULK RULES ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

part 2 would be a true gift to the fans. I would be willing to bet it would be a great success world wide. Golly i hope they make this film.
shibazz - 7/28/2009, 1:54 PM
Norton should come back for The Avengers and the Hulk should be the bad guy for the first half of the movie probably under the mind control influence of the Leader (DUH he was in the last one and he didnt die, his head got big and he smiled). As for Hulk 2- probably not- but how about a Hulk vs. Wolverine fight scene in the next Wolverine movie? in Canada (where we last saw Norton's Banner) when Wolvie (Hugh Jackman) gets back from Japan.
Makiveli21 - 7/28/2009, 2:15 PM
I hope it does not take to long for the next sequel just because the HULK will be in the Avengers movie. I did not like Bana in the first movie. He displayed Banner as a whimp! Norton played a 100 times better! I should know I am all about HULK. Ed Norton should be Banner from now on just because he can pull the character off very well. In the next movie, the enemy should be the Leader and some other Hulk-type mutants plus add on Doc Samson then add some of the spot scripts of the Avengers movie. Liv Taylor should be Betty again also. There are alot of ways this can go. HULK SMASH!!!! Not a bad idea, Makiveli21! That sounds promising in the beginning of a Hulk 2 movie with Wolverine in the first part of the movie.
THULK - 7/28/2009, 2:30 PM
Shibazz

I love ya baby doll, but Incredible was bunk. I'm glad you got your HULK SMASH fix. But the dialogue and story was dumber than supermike after a box of whippits. I'm sure you were just thinking of chowing on Liv Tyler in between smash scenes, ^_^ , which would account for your pumped attitude leaving. Wait, did you bring in a bottle?

THULK

I couldn't agree with you less. Norton's Banner was far more pussified, and Liv TYLER (not Taylor) couldn't sniff Jennifer Connelly's thong when it comes to playing Betty Ross. They had Doc Sampson in your IH movie, they wasted him. Gave him 2 lines, cut the rest, and just barely glossed over that fact that he was even there. Surprised you missed that, being a big Hulk fan and all. Aside from all that... good post.

BillyBlack - 7/28/2009, 3:55 PM
This is good news. Edward Norton for Hulk.
logan - 7/28/2009, 5:10 PM
@Billy Black- Hush your mouth" but you are dead right B.B. am i that obvious? I just cant help but imagine the sounds she makes. And yes there was booze involved but still i flippin love that movie. My GF did too and she is not a comic fan, nor is she not a fan... she just thinks she is sooooo cool, she doesnt pay any mind to anything. its really kinda hot.

But maybe there were some issues with that movie but to be honest i didnt notice and i really loved the scene of Bruce with his Brazilian trainer. oooh and that hot azz sexy hispanic chica who he kisses and runs. She was smoking hot! I am just gonna reserve my judgement for this movie and keep my love for it strong.
shibazz - 7/28/2009, 7:33 PM
To me maybe Norton will return for the Avengers, but more Hulk than Banner. So to me maybe Norton will want less Banner time for more HUlk scenes. And oh yeah Eric Bana better stay away from the role or I will but a hit out on him...nah I'm just playing.
Nerd81 - 7/28/2009, 8:01 PM
OH! My apologies, Teabag and all. It's been so long now I couldn't remember who it was.
I wouldn't hold my breath on that apology. That would be the smart thing for Supermike to do, but think of who it is.
After seeing that scary video I doubt the guy can even count all twelve of his fingers

Your avatar is giving me a headache

shibazz

Keep your love girl, love it up.

and pass that bottle.

THULK

I may have been a bit of a prick on that one. Apologies

I get excited when the subject of HULK v. Incredible Hulk gets raised.
BillyBlack - 7/28/2009, 9:42 PM
I hope they bring Banner back for the avengers but use his character like they did in the ULTIMATE AVENGERS. As a scientist first. They will more than likely use just the HULK in the avengers. They almost have to since they had a tie-in at the end of the incredible hulk.
MercWitaMouth88 - 7/28/2009, 9:59 PM
Incredible Hulk was way better than hulk....at least we had Hulk Smash instead of Hulk shag plane !! :)
teabag - 7/29/2009, 1:17 AM
omfg not another f *cking hulk what f*ckin crap i mean ffs hulk smash ooh wow yeah its alrite for kids but growing men liking this sh*t oh get bloody help or get laid ffs!!!.
lc - 7/29/2009, 7:35 AM
its my bf that has be hateing this hulk thing he wacthed it sooo much hint leee777 lol.
lc - 7/29/2009, 7:39 AM
Ang Lee's Hulk could've been a great film, it had a nice cast, excellent special effects and was directed wonderfully, but it suffered from the curse of hollyweird thinking that they know comics better than the people that created them and the fans who buy them. The Incredible Hulk was an overall better flick. The story was spot on, maybe not as elegant, but spot on nonetheless, the cast was as good as the first one (maybe better: William Hurt, Ed Norton and Tim Roth - quality)and the Hulk had an "Incredible" battle with one of his greatest villains - the Abomination. Plus Louis Leterrier's direction and the special effects were definitely up to par.
Cheesey1 - 7/29/2009, 7:53 AM
lc: Piss off and attend an English class. I love the Hulk, and I get laid regularly by FAR BETTER than the likes of you.

Look, we already have the set-up from TIH: Stark has already gone to Ross offering his help with "assembling a team". Assembling a team to do what? TAKE DOWN THE HULK. What team? Nick Fury's "the Avenger Initiative".

So we have Iron Man II coming up. We've seen the footage. Stark is now a major target, his tech is a target. The Senate demands he hand over the tech, Stark refuses, and he's starting to see that he, like Banner, is getting fecked around by the military. "Dammit, Pepper, they're using me, just like they used Banner. What, I'm supposed to sit back and wait for them to turn me into a fugitive, too? I've saved their asses, and now they want to take my technology and throw me out on the street? Not gonna hppen, Pepper, not gonna happen."

Meanwhile, just as always, ol' Nick Fury has his own designs, and SHIELD is playing its own game. SHIELD needs Stark as a weapons manufacturer, not as an advanced baby food manufacturer. So, Fury plays both sides: Pulling Stark in as a SHIELD agent, while setting up Justin Hammer to end up in charge of Stark Industries and getting his own hands on the Iron Man tech.

Justin Hammer is hired by the US gov't (and, quietly, by SHIELD) to steal the tech. He hires Black Widow (to take the place of Spymaster) to steal Stark's tech. The military ends up with the silver Iron Man suit and Hammer packs it with ordnance, handing it over to Rhodey to take down Iron Man.

Meanwhile, Hammer has plans of his own.

Hammer teams up with Whiplash, who has worked his own version of the Stark tech in a Russian jail, and broken out. Hammer sees Whiplash as a way to secure his own ascendance as the premier weapons manufacturer (dammit, why did they have to kill off Obediah Stane?), and plays his own screw job, not only on Stark, but on SHIELD as well.

Fury now knows that the Stark tech is in the wrong hands. He goes to Stark, and tells him that the balance has to be corrected, that Hammer married to Stark Industries puts unacceptable pressures on SHIELD's weapons supplies. Stark tries on his own to overthrow Whiplash working in conjunction with War Machine, and barely escapes with his life.

Stark retreats, and comes to the conclusion, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" and seeks out none other than Bruce Banner for assistance. Banner is reluctant. Hammer screws the pooch and ends up with Betty Ross as a hostage. He demands not only the surrender of Stark and his own tech, but the surrender of Banner and the marriage of the gamma ray tech to the Super Soldier formula to create an entire division of Abominations.

Banner balks, agrees to work with Stark.

And the battle begins.

Iron Man and Hulk team up (laying the foundation for superheroes working together), take down War Machine and Whiplash, but Hulk continues to wreak havoc, turned to near-insanity by seeing Betty nearly killed by Hammer. Stark sees a major US city levelled by an enraged Hulk. The experiment to try and suppress the Hulk transformation has actually locked Banner into the Hulk persona, and his nascient intelligence is now integrated into the rage of the Hulk. In order to wreak vengeance upon the US military and SHIELD, Hulk now embarks on a path of destruction all the way across the US to SHIELD HQ.

Tony Stark cannot allow this to occur. He must stop Hulk.

Iron Man II ends.
