It's fair to say when death occurs at DC or Marvel, it's nothing to get excited about mostly because they have both killed off characters only to bring them back within a year to a years. It seems like that may be the case yet again. Now personally, I'm enjoying Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok's Justice League story arc "The Darkseid War". Great artwork with Fabok, a story centered around Wonder Woman who has been written really well in this story, plus we got DC's 2 biggest threats at war. Darkseid and the Anti-Monitor with the Justice League in the middle of this war. Justice League #44 feature a major death when considering the story arc.

Justice League #44 is centered around a major fight between Darkseid and the Anti-Monitor going at it. As the battle goes on Darkseid summonds the Black Racer -- who is pretty much Death himself wearing black ski gear -- which he uses to wound the Anti-Monitor. As this fight is going on, Batman uses the powers of the Mobius Chair to visit the Anti-Matter universe. Batman learns that the Anti-Monitor was created when he discovered the Anti-Life Equation, the opposite of the free will that created our universe. This fact becomes known back at the fight, when the Anti-Monitor uses his power to merge the Black Racer with the Flash, creating a new being that he has control over. He commands the Flash-Racer to kill Darkseid as he lays on a blast of Anti-Life energy, taking his enemy down, killing Darkseid. If you don't like to read and are a more visually person, here's what happened.

So yea, in a story called "The Darkseid War" we had Darkseid die. Do I think he's dead for good? Is there a Deadpool version of Gwen Stacy (which there is)? What are your thoughts? Do you think Darkseid is actually dead or shall we begin to make bets on when he will return? Comment below, let me know. Peace and remember...
