EDGE OF TOMORROW Director Doug Liman Will Helm WB And DC's JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK Movie
We were promised this was still on Warner Bros.' slate, and it's now been announced that Doug Liman (Edge Of Tomorrow) will direct Justice League Dark, AKA "Dark Universe". UPDATE...
We all wondered if Justice League Dark/Dark Universe would even get off the ground once original director Guillermo del Toro parted ways with the project, but Variety just announced that Warner Bros. has replaced him with none other than Doug Liman, who will be most familiar to CBMers for the likes of The Bourne Identity and Edge of Tomorrow.
Though story details are under wraps for now, the site does confirm that the team will consist of Det. John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna and Etrigan the Demon. It seems this incarnation of ol' JC shall be a lawman.
Del Toro and Scott Rudin will produce Dark Universe, which is expected to "play a major role in the new D.C. Cinematic Universe"
UPDATE: As many assumed given this news, it appears Liman will no longer direct Fox's Gambit movie.
