Get Your First Look At The Dark Knight's Upgraded Batmobile For Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE
Along with all the juicy Justice League info, Warner Bros. has also released an official image of the new and improved Batmobile we'll be seeing Ben Affleck's Batman utilize in the movie. Take a look...
The Batmobile is back... and if you thought the version we saw in Batman V Superman was (too?) lethal, this upgraded vehicle is packing even more firepower. "You have missile launchers, you have cannons, you have machine guns," explained production designer Patrick Tatopoulos.
In addition to the image, we have lots of details on some of the other tech we can expect to see in the movie. Apparently the team will have their own airship called The Flying Fox, which is large enough to fit the Batmobile inside it. If you're imagining the potential action sequences that allows for, you're not the only one. Plus, the League will have access to another bit of Bat-tech: a one-person vehicle known as the Nightcrawler.
"There's an action set piece -- we're gonna take you to this tunnel," producer Deborah Snyder explained. "It's a tunnel they were gonna build between Metropolis and Gotham and it had been abandoned, so the project never really went forward. But there's abandoned remains of what started to be this tunnel. It's pretty hard to get the Batmobile through there, so it's nice to have the Crawler, which can maneuver."
It's also been confirmed that the Dark Knight will don another armored Bat-suit, as well as an updated version of his standard costume, which designer Michael Wilkinson describes as being "even more protective than the classic suit."
Now confirmed to be one standalone movie, Justice League will hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
