You wanted a Season 2?? Well brace yourselves as 'Street Fighter: World Warrior' is officially beginning development!
That is the headline on 'Street Fighter's Assassin's Fist' facebook page to announce the great news of having been received the thumbs up from Capcom to further develop the stories of what is regarding by many as the best video game fighting series.
Producer, Jacqueline Quella talked about the process that will be taken to make the sequel, as the succes of SF: Assasin's Fist proved to be a succes and be a hit with fans.
"We demonstrated with 'Assasin's Fist' that an authentic, live-action version of videogames, with a compelling and dramatic storylin, can be made,".. "We'll be taking the same approach with the new series."
Joey Ansah further helped explain the world that will be introduced in the new series and the characters that will populate it and have an impact on the path of it's characters.
"The scale of 'World Warrior' is a much larger, picking up where 'Assassin's Fist' left off as we follow Ryu and Ken on their 'Musha Shugyo' (warrior's pilgrimage',"...
"The Shadaloo criminal cartel will be introduced, led by the extremely dangerous M.Bison, which will naturally lead into the World Warrior Tournament"
Ansah had previously stated that if 'Assassin's Fist' were to be successful he would like to introduce Guile. Given that Shadaloo is to play a big part on the telling of the story, expect him to have a pretty big role as he is a highly decorated officer in the armed forces. Also, it is safe to assume that Chun-Li, who is described as an InterPol officer will be introduced and also play a major secondary role.
Joey Ansah has previously stated he would like to have Scott Adkins (Yuri Boika [Undisputed II) for the role of Guile and Adkins has also expressed his interest to join the project in the future.
Having Adkins taking part in the project would be welcomed as he has a pretty strong fan following and his undeniable martial arts skills would compliment and more than keep pace with Christian Howard and Mike Moh who also are extremely talented martial artists themselves.
