As is common now, films are getting "midnight showings", which means that you can go out and get in line on a Thursday, wait until the clock hits 12:00am, basically making it Friday and watch the film "early". Some have even been showing on Thursdays, a day before it's release date.
Guardians of the Galaxy has been getting a lot of positive buzz for a while now, and fans of the comics and plenty of the genereal audience alike have been waiting patiently to catch the film at the movie theaters. With the huge response that the film has been getting, some fans have been flocking to their movie theaters to be some of the first to see the film. With that in mind, make sure you are prepared for anything that might happen since expectations can sometimes let you down, as it did to these people in Richmond, Virginia, and in New Jersey.
Don't worry though, as the dissappointment was not because of the film but mainly the movie theater that was to show the Guardians of the Galaxy dropped the ball and instead showed, Rise Of The Guardians!
Yes, a film that was released two years ago!
The confussion didn't end when the movie-goers reported to staff that the wrong film was on display.
It seems as the staff at
Regal Cinemas tried a second time to get the film to play.
Well, third time is the charm right? Isn't that how the saying goes?
Guess not..
If you think this is just one person trying to troll, you are wrong.
It seems that the cinema tried to make ammends and gave away free tickets to the people there.
If by what was posted in some tweets is any indication maybe snacks too?!
Well people, make sure that the next time you line up to see a highly expected movie, the theater you go to actually has the film on hand to show, otherwise you might end up dissappointed and watching an old film that you might have already seen!
How would you have reacted if this would have happened to you?!
