Watch the first minute of the interview.

Q: Whether you know it or not or whether you admit it or not, you're kinda in one yourself: the rivalry between Marvel and DC. Do you hear about that, is that something you are aware of, or do you care about that sort of rivalry?

Hemsworth: We're just winning aren't we? That's not really a rivalry.

Guys, the thing I've learned about Chris Hemsworth is that when he's being interviewed about stuff like this, he's almost always joking. Watch the video - it's obvious he doesn't really care about any "rivalry."

Joe Quesada: Uh-oh, I don't like the way this guy is talking because everyone knows DC is for pussies and Marvel is the shit. Oh well, looks like we've got to recast Thor because suddenly he's not the Thor FROM MY CHILDHOOD!!!

@ batman1216 - in your dreams bro. Whedon and Downey aren't writing, directing
Or acting in GOTG, or Dr strange or Black Panther. Nor did they have anything to
Do with Thor or Capt America. Not to mention a possible Inhumans movie or a
Luke Cage/ Heros for Hire movie. Granted, they played important roll, more so Downey
Than Whedon but the MCU is a self sustaning entity now. The ball is already rolling.
No need for anybody to carry anything on their backs.

Yea but its only milking it if the movies being made have no substance
And are just made to make money off a prior film. Marvel had success with
Iron Man. Im sure they thought at that time what other characters do we have
That we can get an audience interested in. Yes...Marvel want to make money.
But marvel also cares about doing justice to their characters.
I am not basing success on total money made. Maybe MOS made more
Money than marvel film x or marvel film y, but marvel has more films out.
The films are more diverse than just another superman and another batman
Film. They have more heros on the big screen.
If marvel films sucked like the fox films do, i would also say that they are milking us
Dry but the films were good at worst and some were awesome.

Put simply as I've said numerous times.....

Marvel Studios has been more successful with their movies within a little over 5 years than WB/DC has with their superhero properties in course of 35 years.

Court is adjourned!!!!!

Why is it so difficult for people to just enjoy comic movies regardless of which company owns a character? My comic collection is from all distributors but skewed more towards Marvel. However, my preference to Marvel does not prevent me from seeing or enjoying DC movies. Hell I was one of the most geeked out for MOS.

Say what you want, but as far as movies go Marvel is winning.

Movies - Marvel

Popularity- Marvel (it will grow towards marvel because the GA will get exposure to more Marvel characters than DC)

Video Games - DC

TV/ Cartoons - DC

BTW to clear it up. Marvel video games > DC games. They have had arkam and nothing else. Maybe injustice but that isn't as good as capcon vs marvel.

DC wins everything else but movies are more relevant than everything else in the eyes of the general audience. Everyone wins, now shut up.... Both sides of the argument.

The only Marvel movies making money involve Whedon & Downey? What?

TASM outgrossed Meh of Steel worldwide ... and TASM was supposed to be a relatively minor rebooting compared the AWESOME GREATNESS that MoS was going to unleash ("IT'LL OUTGROSS THE AVENGERS!!!!!")

Raimi's Spidey movies made serious $$. The only DC films to make big bucks involve Nolan. Other than that, nada.

BTW, Thor would beat Superman. Duh.

98% of people who watch WB:DC/Marvel Studios films dont give a [frick] about this "rivalry" and actually have the mental capacity to appreciate the films that both studios release instead of the mindset that it "us or them" or "one or the other". LMFAO @ people trying to act like they're major sports teams who are chasing a trophy, GTFO and grow the [frick] up.
