Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy, Bloody Sunday) will replace Darren Aronofsky as the director of the much-anticipated Watchmen movie.

Alan Moore and David Gibbons created the DC maxi-series in 1986 as a means of showing how the real world might react to super-human beings. Characters such as Dr. Manhattan and the Comedian have fascinated directors going back to Terry Gilliam in the early 1990s.
