After what seemed an eternity to non-Asgardians, Matthew Vaughn and Mark Protosevich came up with a final script for The God Of Thunder. The only problem is the 300 million dollar budget that the script that calls for. Since the Studio wants the budget cut litteraly in half, it would seem that a re-write is in order. But with a strike looming on October 31st 2007, can a re-write be completed and greenlit prior to Halloween? Lets hope that "Ol One Eye" (or Odin for short) can pull an ace out of his sleve and make this thing happen!
According to Julia Boorstin of Media Money, "The Writers Guild of America warned the movie studios and TV networks that they're going to persist with demands for a bigger cut of new-media revenues. The pact expires October 31 -- and if there's no agreement, a strike could start at the beginning of November."
