Flash Gordon star Gina Holden started shooting her guest appearance on Smallville last week (January 2), in a role that Kryptonsite posits is Patricia Swann, daughter of the late Dr. Virgil Swann (Christopher Reeve). Aaron Douglas (Battlestar Galactica) joined the production on January 8 as a character named Pierce.

KryptonSite reports that "Traveler" is scheduled to air on March 27th.

Meanwhile, the CW has released an online interview with Allison Mack (Chloe Sullivan) via phone. Among other things, Mack explains why Chloe can tell Clark Kent from Bizarro (though both are played by Tom Welling), and discusses her relationship with Jimmy Olsen (Aaron Ashmore).

Lastly, The CW has confirmed that the next new episode of Smallville will air on Thursday, January 31st at 8pm ET.
