Deadline report that French actress and former Wonder Woman candidate Elodie Yung has joined the cast of Alex Proyas'
Gods Of Egypt as one of the Gods (or Goddesses in this case). Hathor - in ancient Egyptian mythology she's the goddess who personified the principles of joy, feminine love, and motherhood. As well as starring as Jinx in the
G.I. JOE sequel, Yung popped up as a gang lord in
District 13: Ultimatum and also made a brief, but very memorable appearance in David Fincher’s
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. The story deals with a human thief (Thwaites) who cares little for the affairs of gods but when he discovers Zaya (Eaton) has been cursed by Set (Butler), he falls on the side of Horus (Coster-Waldau), hoping that Set’s death will break the curse. Proyas wrote the script with Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama, who are behind Universal’s upcoming horror saga
Dracula Untold.
