Originally scheduled for release last year, the Max Steel movie will now hit theatres on October 21, and we have the very first trailer for you to take a look at.

The story revolves around 16-year-old (yes, obvioulsy 22-year-old actor Ben Winchell is playing a teenager) Max McGrath and his alien pal Steel, who combine their powers to become the "turbo-charged superhero Max Steel."

Check out the international trailer below and let us know what you think.

Based on a toy and animated series, the film chronicles the adventures of 16-year old Max McGrath (Winchell) and alien companion Steel, who must harness and combine their tremendous new powers to evolve into the turbo-charged superhero Max Steel. As these two unlikely friends struggle to accept their oddly connected fates, they begin to uncover unimaginable secrets, working together to find the truth, and fighting the mysterious forces threatening their world.

Directed by Stewart Hendler (Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn) and written by Christopher Yost (Thor: The Dark World), Max Steel also stars Josh Brener, Ana Villafane, Andy Garcia, Maria Bello and Mike Doyle.

Wow, looks cool.. but not liking the Eva Robot voice.

@slickrickdesigns - that's what ruins it... Well that and the poor editing. But the voice of the robot is much too generic. Not memorable at all. It sounds like a throwaway voice they didn't use for destiny. Think about the best robot sidekicks from scifi movies and they always have great voices/sounds and have a personality. This needs to be more R2-D2/wall-e/BB-8 - like and less video game voiceover generica...

Seems like an interesting premise but this trailer is like a sizzle reel for a new series on syfy. If they portrayed it more like chronicle I think it could do well.
