Fans have been anticipating something new from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story within the next week or so in the buildup to Star Wars Celebration London, and now Making Star Wars has spotted a TV listing which confirms that a second, 3-minute trailer for the Gareth Edwards-directed prequel will air next Friday, July 15 at 8pm EST on ABC.

There's a decent chance a lot of us will have seen it before that, however, as the Rogue One panel at Celebration is at 4pm GMT (11am EST or 8am PST). Anyway, it's a safe bet you'll be watching a new trailer for the movie at some point next Friday.

It'll be interesting to see what tone Disney/Lucasfilm decide to set this time following the recent re-shoot rumors. Will it keep in line with what we've heard about this being an altogether grittier journey through the galaxy far, far away; or can we expect a lighter, more humorous vibe?

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set for release on December 16th, 2016.

Force Awakens was underwhelming, hopefully this makes up for it.

I loved Monsters and Godzilla

Both are amazing movies by a really talented director.

This one should be pretty good

@Battabing - I know a lot of people who did not like it... to be honest I do not know anyone who liked Godzilla LOL! but I loved it mate, I felt it like a homage to the first one and a perfect americanized version but that's just me

@TheNewGuy123 you and me bro! the guy is really talented, the Monsters movie was amazing how he did it and what he accomplished and Godzilla ... I just liked it a lot

@soberchimera - I always thought of it like the JAWS of the kaijus movies.

Tease after tease, music and tension arises until we finally see it at the end of the movie...

IMHO

@KikinGonzalez - Godzilla was classic Godzilla story telling. People who say it was bad have probably never seen the original and don't understand the that Edwards mimicked the style of the old movies.

@KikinGonzalez - Don't forget that Rian Johnson (the director of one of the greatest episodes of any TV show ever) is directing Episode 8. Gotta say: the future looks really bright for Star Wars.

@KikinGonzalez - I liked Godzilla. Been a fan my whole life and I thought it was good. I do wish he had more screen time, specifically during his battles, but it was still good
