Promotion for Gareth Edwards' Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has kicked up a notch following the release of that awesome second trailer, and now Empire has followed up their series of covers with several images from the movie.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, with Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are producing, with John Knoll and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers.

The movie opens in U.S. theaters on December 16, 2016.

@DarkArrow19 - The 2 trailers are fantastic. No plot details spoiled in them. Just great visuals and action. Just like the Force Awakens trailers, it's ALL about showing YOU Star Wars without revealing what the Star Wars will be about. I personally only watch trailer #1 & months later watch trailer #2 for films. Most movies start SPOILERS in trailer #3 big time. I'd watch both of these trailers jus because they're really good but if you jus want to go in Rogue One blind as Donnie Yen's character then avoid em
