It's Millennium Falcon vs TIE Fighter In New STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Image

Three decades later, the Millennium Falcon's still got it in this new image from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It's in a dog fight with two TIE fighters from The First Order Special Forces. But lets be honest, this is the Falcon, those TIE fighters don't stand a chance!

Though the magazine is careful to not give away any spoilers, that may or may not be Han Solo in the helm of the Millennium Falcon in this image. In the background, you can alsomake out the skeletal remains of a downed Star Destroyer that's been in the mystery desert for quite some time. While watching the film, remember - TIE fighters shoot green lasers and the Falcon shoots red lasers.

 Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens 30 years after the events of The Return of the Jedi. Luke Skywalker has gone into seclusion and the remnants of the Galactic Empire are alive and well in the new guise of the First Order. Many of the heroes from the original trilogy such as Han Solo, Princess Leia, C-3PO and Chewbacca continue fighting as members of the Resistance. Joining them are new allies, Poe Dameron, Finn, Rey and BB-8. They'll have their hands full against the powerful forces of the First Order which count Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma among its members.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in North American theaters on December 18th. The film has run time of 2hrs and 15 minutes.

You just know that JJ Abrams is going to find a way to give us a glimpse of this baby during the movie.

@ComicsBornAndBred He had them attach one to the Millennium Falcon as part of the back and forth game he had with Zack Snyder. Maybe at one point when the ship is in a fight and spinning, it'll zoom past the screen fast just like R2-D2 did in Star Trek.

@Starfox. But then that would mean, you could possibly kick Jar Jar in the taint for ruining episode 1.

@Kr08 @ComicsBornAndBred

I think it'd be awesome if Abrams & Snyder had the other make a brief cameo in their movies. And I'd almost guarantee we wouldn't see their faces or know it's them. Kind of like an inside joke or simply because both are fans of the others' movies/franchises. As fans themselves it'd have to be awesome/cool just knowing they were in a Star Wars or Batman/Superman movie. And it'd be neat to share with their friends & friends and show them who/where they are.

I LOVE the HUNKA JUNK clip! Abrams won their friendly game hands down bc of it.
