New ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY Images Give Us A First Look At The U-Wing Starship

We've heard it mentioned before, and its interior has no doubt been glimpsed in the trailers, but now we have a much more detailed look at the new Rebel starship that'll be introduced in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, INCOM UT-60D, or U-Wing for short.

The Star Wars Show describes it as a troop transport and gunship, which is designed to "bring in rebels to heavy fire zones and get out as quick as possible".

OMG IM ABOUT TO GO ALL CAPS ON THESE HOES!! THIS MOVIE AND THAT HAN SOLO ONE IS A HUGE WASTE, SPOILER ALERT "THEY GET THE PLANS TO THE DEATH STAR, OH!!! AND THE REBELS MANAGE TO BLOW IT UP" THIS IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF A FILM.

IF EPISODE 1 2 AND 3 WERE THE ONLY FILMS OUT THIS WOULD MAKE SENSE BUT IT ISNT SO SCREW THIS, SCREW THAT HAN SOLO FILM, AND SCREW ALL VEGANS!

people complain that it's a remake of anh, which i get, but i see that as a good thing.

@ALostCause - I'm with you. I'm not talking about wanting to see non-stop action. I want to see the War in star wars is all. If they just showed the psychological effects of war that is intriguing enough for me.

It's just it's getting to the point where indies are the only movies that tell good stories, so I'm just a lil salty with Hollywood

These movies have to evolve and show something different. I hope the reshoots do not "infuse humor" where it's not warranted. I hate when one liners are shoehorned in just because "make it funny".

I want a grown up adult Star Wars movie and from the trailers that's exactly what this looks like…

@ElDarkside - I think that the spin off movies are going to be different genres. This one is the War film more for adults. Han Solo will be the comedy. If they ever do Knights of the Old Republic that will be your period piece.

I've been disappointed by far too many movies this year, so I would be floored if Star Wars turns out the same...
I really want this to be like the Saving Private Ryan for Star Wars. A gritty war movie that shows that war is never a good thing, no matter in what galaxy.

I am a BIG fan of SW (grew up with the prequels but LOVE the OT). I really hope Rogue One turns out to be great.

But judging what RT score a recent film received (while also being re-shot and messed with in the cutting floor), I really hope this isn't the case here.

@gaikinger - Me too. One of the greatest days of my life was when I learned Kenner was FINALLY making a Y-Wing for the 3-3/4" line. Loved that ship from my very first viewing.
