Harrison Ford, the actor that played both Indiana Jones and Han Solo, crashed the Millenium Falcon a small single-engine vintage World War II trainer plane at Penmar Golf Club in Santa Monica.

He reportedly was having engine problems sortly after takeoff and had tried to return to the airport for an emergancy landing. However, he didn't quite make it and ended up crashing into the golf course.

According to his son, Ben's, Twitter page, he said his father is "Ok. Battered, but ok!" and that "He is every bit the man you would think he is. He is an incredibly strong man. Thank you for all your thoughts and good vibes for my dad."

His publicist said in a statement that "He was banged up and is in the hospital receiving medical care. The injuries sustained are not life threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery."

It is also stated that he may have to undergo surgery for some of the injuries, but is "fine".
