Zack Snyder Hits Back At MAN OF STEEL Death Toll Critics; "What About STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS?"

Three years later and people are still bickering about the destruction caused by Superman in the final act of Man of Steel. Well, Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder has the perfect response to that.

Should Superman have done more to save the innocent people caught in the crossfire of his battle with General Zod? That's a question which has been causing arguments since 2013, and now Zack Snyder has come up with a pretty perfect response to claims that Man of Steel was one of the most destructive movies in recent memory. In fact, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, he recalled someone recently telling him that they couldn't recall another movie with so much collateral damage. "I went, really? And I said, well, what about ['Star Wars: The Force Awakens']? In ‘Star Wars’ they destroy five planets with billions of people on them. That’s gotta be one of the highest death toll movies in history, the new ‘Star Wars’ movie, if you just do the math."

While it's a very different type of destruction, Snyder isn't wrong! Just like other comments we've heard from the filmmaker, this won't bring an end to the argument of course, and the director remains baffled at the response from some to his take on Superman. "I was surprised with the fervency of the defense of the concept of Superman," he continued. "I feel like they were taking it personally that I was trying to grow up their character." Do you agree with these remarks?

It's so funny to see people who couldn't care less about Superman saying that Snyder change him.

@regularmovieguy - To be honest, it looks like AOU, despite its many flaws, will be much better than BVS, so the gif still works!
