The Vulture's costume in Spider-Man: Homecoming has definitely been a big talking point since it was revealed this past weekend at Comic-Con, and it's clear that this version of the classic villain will be utilising technology on par with characters like Ant-Man, Iron Man, and The Falcon. Talking to Collider, director Jon Watts shed some light on what led to Marvel deciding to take Vulture in that direction.

"It's a very tech based approach to how The Vulture would build a wing suit and how he would fly," the filmmaker explained. "It's not just cool design, it's a big part of the story. That I can't give away, but there's some cool stuff that goes along with that." Could that be a reference to rumoured bad guy The Tinkerer? Him becoming a big bad who supplies Spidey's foes with tech could be a lot of fun!

Asked why Marvel decided against making The Vulture a metahuman, Watts added: "From the very beginning, we wanted to try to keep it tech based just to keep it different initially from what we had seen before. Just getting away from anything that was too similar to [the past], and it sets up a really cool thing that I don't want to talk about yet! It's gonna be awesome." What will that be? We'll have to wait and see, but watch the video below for comments on 3D sequences, the score, and more.

@WARMACHINEROX - Really it's the Doc Ock problem. How the hell could Vulture even take a hit being so exposed. Every take outside the comics have given the man armor or some serious fire power.

Hell(and I am glad I can bring this up), you have the Avenger Falcon who went against Spider-man. Vulture to be a threat needs to be better then Falcon.
