Marvel Studios might have the perfect Venom should they decide to take the new Spider-Man franchise down the symbiote route.  Standing 6'-4" and 267 lbs, Sheamus would certainly be a physically imposing villain in comparison to the MCU's Peter Parker, 5'-8" Tom Holland.  He's also pretty close to the 6'-3", 260 lbs physical attributes Marvel lists for Eddie Brock, the original Venom.  "I've always said I want to play Venom, from Spider-Man. Another iconic character, " he told to Digital Spy.  The former World Heavyweight Champion has actually been voicing his desire to play Eddie Brock since 2014 so there's definitely some genuine love for the character there.  "I always read comic books as a kid, I always remember Eddie Brock, who was Venom in the Spider-Man comics. He was kind of a red head. I'd love to play the role of Venom and Eddie Brock. Venom was one of my favorite characters."

In addition to Venom, Sheamus also stated that he'd love to reprise his role as Rocksteady if the character is brought back for a sequel.  "Absolutely, I'd love to! I had so much fun doing this movie, so much craic [Irish slang for fun] doing it - I'd love to have another opportunity to do another one."

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows arrives in US theaters today.
