Cara Delevingne On Her Bizarre SUICIDE SQUAD Audition; Plus Pics From Her New W Magazine Shoot

To prepare for her Suicide Squad role, Cara Delevingne ran naked through the woods, howling at the moon. We don't have pics of that unfortunately, but we do have snaps from her recent W shoot.

Though still not confirmed, it looks likely that Dr. June Moone, AKA Enchantress, will indeed be the villain (or one of 'em, at least) in David Ayer's Suicide Squad movie. From what we've seen of her in the trailers, the character appears to be a seriously messed up individual, and Ayer took Cara Delevingne through a suitably dark audition process to prepare for the role.

Here's what the actress/model had to say to W Magazine about what she did to win the part, and her unconventional preparation method afterwards.

“I met the director, David Ayer, at a hotel in London on a dark and stormy night. He didn’t tell me anything about the movie. Instead, he showed me pictures of these amazing, enlightened, powerful, but very evil women. He spoke to me about addiction and mental illness, which are things I find very, very interesting. The next time I met David was at his house in L.A. He asked me to read a scene from ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?’ I love that play and had acted in it at school when I was 17, so I was excited. Somehow, when we were doing the scene, I became livid. I hadn’t felt rage like that in years. And then I got the part!

There still wasn’t a script, but David asked me to go and try and find a forest and, if it was a full moon, get naked and walk through the woods with my feet in the mud, which I did. There wasn’t a full moon, but I howled like a wolf. It would have been really funny if someone had seen me.”

It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

Suicide Squad stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jared Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, with Raymond Olubawale as King Shark, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, and Adam Beach as Slipknot. Directed by David Ayer.

Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5, 2016.

Pun intended, there is something enchanting about a naked woman in the woods. Must be that whole communing with nature thing. Yeah, that's what it is.

God [frick]ing damn.

For some reason, I'm picturing Groot & Swamp Thing in a forest witnessing this with their jaws dropped.

God I hope people don't take this as the definition of method acting, the cast of this movie is just freaking crazy and kinda stupid.
It's cool that they take the roles that personal but they're taking it too far

@Bekss - Ben Affleck should have took it to that level.

Have someone murder his parents in front of him would be pretty method.

@Bekss - It's not the cast, it's the director. He's known for getting his cast into character through unorthodox methods.

I like the SS casting and I like her acting.

That being said, her ego is off the charts.
