Mid-Credits Scene Confirmed For David Ayer's SUICIDE SQUAD; No Post-Credits Sequence

A new report has confirmed that David Ayer's Suicide Squad will include a mid-credits sequence after all, and that this "pivotal" scene teases the future of the DC Extended Universe...

It looks like we may be getting a tease for the future of the DC Extended Universe when the curtain closes on David Ayer's Suicide Squad. ComicBook.com reports that there is a "pivotal" mid-credits sequence that will roll after the main ending bumper, though there is NOT an after-credits sequence typically seen in Marvel Studios films. The report reads as follows:

After the credits sequence rolls (that's also called the "bumper," the part before the plain black-and-white names and characters part rolls), using the same stylized hyper-colored imagery they’ve used in the posters and character art, there’s one more scene waiting for you on the other side. It’s pivotal and important, too.

There is not, however, an after-credits scene. While Marvel Studios frequently makes use of both, giving a major story beat in the mid-credits, and an extra tease or sometimes a joke post-credits, it seems DC Films/WB is not following suit. Of course, this is also based on early screenings, so it could change after the film itself is released. We’ve reached out to Warner Bros. for confirmation, and should they provide it, will update.

As mentioned, this doesn't mean there won't be a post-credits sequence in the final film, as Ayer and Warner Bros. could just be keeping it a secret until the official release. What do you think this scene could be? Sound off with your thoughts below!

Yeah, there is no after credits scene for now... as there was no mid credits scene in BvS. Warner just should make the wise move of trying to copy what makes Marvel great instead of trying to distance themselves so far that they end with nothing as great as they should.

Looking forward for this movie though, third time is the charm!

See this is the problem with going to see at midnight. Now i'll be waiting to see if there is one even though I'm 90 percent sure Warner Bros won't do it. Ah well I think it's going to be a great movie :)

@BeyondtheFuture - I had to force my friends out of the theatre for BVS when it was done...one of them refused to leave because he was certain there would be a post-credits scene. I told him like 10 times, "dude, 100% there isn't one". He still wouldn't leave. Lol.

@MattBellissimo - lol yeah you never know. I think I stayed for Man Of Steel because I'm sure at one point there was a rumour going around there was one for that. BVS It was like three am in the morning and even though half the theatre stayed I just thought 'ah I'll just check comicbookmovie tomorrow'

@MattBellissimo - This is how I can tell where I live if there'll be a mid/end-credits scene. If the lights come on when the movie is done... no end credit scene. The lights stay off while the credits are rolling...brace yourself

@megabatfan - Ha, I wish I had that. The lights always come on for me no matter what.
