As you know, writer/director Kevin Smith will be hosting The CW event DC Films Present: Dawn of the Justice League alongside DC Comics' CCO, Geoff Johns. On the latest episode of Kevin Smith's popular podcast, Fat Man on Batman, he talked about what exactly we'll be seeing this Tuesday night. "They show footage, new footage of Batman v Superman," said Smith. "They show footage from the Wonder Woman movie that they're shooting right now, which includes shots of Wonder Woman in action doing some shit you've never seen before. Then the whole f**king thing wraps up with the debut of the Suicide Squad trailer."

Kevin Smith is one of the very few people to have seen the new Suicide Squad trailer and during the episode he gave his thoughts on how David Ayer's new film might surprise us. "I think this is their Guardians of the Galaxy. It's going to be a sneak f**king stealth hit." What do you think about Kevin Smith's comments? Are you excited to see some new DC footage?

DC FILMS takes over the CW on Tuesday, January 19, 2016.

DC FILMS PRESENTS: DAWN OF THE JUSTICE LEAGUE invites viewers behind the scenes of the exciting new movies coming out of the DC Films universe, culminating in the thrilling world premiere of the all-new trailer for “Suicide Squad,” DC’s misfit crew of antiheroes forced into saving the world this summer, with director David Ayer. Hosted by filmmaker/writer/lifelong comics fan Kevin Smith, with special guest DC Entertainment’s Geoff Johns, the special showcases the explosive landscape of DC’s greatest heroes, kicking off with “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” in theatres this March, and with a sneak peek from the upcoming Wonder Woman feature film.

Get a look at never-before-seen footage, and see interviews with such stars as Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, and directors Zack Snyder and Patty Jenkins—just a few of the creative forces behind the much-anticipated film franchise that will bring together the greatest collective of Super Heroes in the upcoming Justice League feature film. And because no Super Hero could make his or her mark without a truly formidable foe, the special also provides glimpses of DC’s most famous Super Villains.

Comparing Suicide Squad to Guardians is a little absurd - Joker and Harley are two of the most popular figures in comics. Maybe he meant tonally? But SS is way more of a sure thing that GOTG was.

Probably will be watching Cap's 75th anniversary special. Really psyched about the WW footage and the new SS trailer, though.

@Jolley I don't think he's a Marvel shill. He's just a very poor communicator. He needs to take a Speech class.

@Kr08 The banner is great. It's funny, I just got done watching the podcast when I decided to refresh the news feed. Anyways, tomorrow night will be the last stop for the Hype Train until march gets here.

Man I can't wait for this, but if it wasn't for the fact that this is a DC special, I probably wouldn't watch it, as I really don't care for Kevin Smith, who is a complete babbling idiot.

I personally believe the property that is the most like Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy from DC is Shadowpact. I hope someday that team will be given a movie, but I sadly doubt it, because there is no Shadowpact in the New 52. I do think Suicide Squad will surprise a lot of people though. The one person I'm worried about is Will Smith. Will he play Deadshot like how he plays all his other characters he has played or not. I hope we get to see a scene with Wonder Woman using the Lasso of Truth, because so far all the scenes we've seen with her she uses a sword instead.

I honestly anticipate these DC films a LOT more than the Marvel movies. Not flaimbaiting, just stating facts.

I always preferred DC, so I'm more excited to see the film universe!

@jollem I don't think he meant it in the way you think he did. Just finished watching the video. What he's trying to say is it will be a surprise hit for DC, just like GOTG was for Marvel. :)
