SPOILERS: Intriguing New Details On The Villain(s) Task Force X Will Encounter In SUICIDE SQUAD

We've already been told a few minor tidbits about the main villain of David Ayer's Suicide Squad, and in a new interview with Comicbook.com, producers Richard Suckle and Andy Horowitz reveal a few more interesting details.

From the sounds of things, The Adversary (as he's known) won't actually be an established DC Comics character, but some type of “Cthulu-type Old Gods monster” that's able to control those smaller eye-creature minions we see the Squad dispatch in the trailers. "Oh, you will find out who the Adversary is," promises Suckle. That is for sure. You will find out not only who the Adversary is but why they exist, who is part and parcel and who is behind them. You definitely find that out in this movie for sure."

Horowitz adds that there are many other "minor adversaries" for Task Force X to contend with, including Jared Leto's Joker (who is trying to reconnect with Harley Quinn), and a character who has been rumored to be one of the bad guys for quite a while, Enchantress. The report indicates that Cara Delevingne's June Moon may actually start out as a member of Task Force X (or at least an ally), but when she uses he magic to get close to the Adversary he's able to posses her, turning her against her former team-mates.

Thoughts? We don't have very long to wait until we see all of this unfold for ourselves, anyway, as Suicide Squad hits theaters next month.

All I got out of this is that in just their third movie, the DCCU, with hundreds of beloved villains to choose from, are creating their own one. Oh and a spirit is going to be possessed, while possessing someone else. Rock on DCCU.
