The Gang's All Here On These New SUICIDE SQUAD Character Portraits; Expect A Big Presence At SDCC

This batch of posters for David Ayer's Suicide Squad provide great new looks at the whole Task Force X team (minus Diablo and poor ol' Slipknot), as well as The Joker, Enchantress, and Amanda Waller.

We've seen lower quality versions of some of these before, but now the whole batch of Suicide Squad character portraits have found their way online. Plus, word is David Ayer's supervillian team-up flick is going to have a "major presence" at this year's San Diego Comic Con.

Apparently there will be cast appearances (though no details on who specifically yet), fan events, the return of Harley's Tattoo Parlor, and much more. In addition, part of the Hard Rock Hotel in the city's Gaslamp Quarter will be transformed into the Belle Reve Penitentiary.

Look for more information ahead of the convention's preview night on July 20.

It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

Suicide Squad stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jared Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, with Raymond Olubawale as King Shark, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, and Adam Beach as Slipknot. Directed by David Ayer.

Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5, 2016.

@Mamamartha - I'll ask again - Does anyone else think that Dr. Manhattan will be the final boss of Injustice 2?

@tripttwe - Bit of a stretch for me, i do think its possible that Watchmen are in it tho

@tripttwe - Darkseid?
tripttwe
tripttwe - 6/10/2016, 8:21 AM
@Gryphon - Again? I suppose he could pull it. I'd love to see a nod to "Reptile" from klassic (see what I did there) MK and throw Dr. Manhattan into the mix from some random array of bullshit. That's old school Boon tactics! I don't even care if he is impossible to beat! Make it to where you just have to last the time, and he goes away. My other two cents...

@tripttwe - was Darkseid in the first one? It's been a while since I've played it, but i thought supes was the big bad guy. I don't remember darkseid being in it at all.
They could go really old school and have reptile invisible in some of the levels like in MK 1.
I wouldn't mind having dr manhattan as the bad guy, but they'd have to cover up that blue dong lol. I'd prefer Darkseid or braniac though.

@tripttwe - what I'd really love is if we got a dlc with some image characters. Invincible, Omni-man, savage dragon, and spawn. My god that would be awesome.

tripttwe - 6/10/2016, 1:19 PM
@Gryphon - Lol, definitely make him fight with a pixelated dong, or the black trunks! Darkseid was in the MK vs DC game. The final boss battle was an Amalgam of him and Shao Khan...

tripttwe - 6/10/2016, 1:26 PM
@Gryphon - It'd be cool, but far off the mark for current DC. Throw in Shadowhawk, Ripclaw, Pitt, The Violator and The Maxx (old-school IMAGE guy here), and I'd like to see that as a standalone game!

@Reasonnnn - except for ya know, Deadshot, Katana, and Killer Croc(technically, also the character is almost always represented as a black man)

@Reddington - Even if they aren't making it, they still have character posters. I've seen them at the WB museum tour.

@Reasonnnn - Dont get me wrong though, representation means a lot to me. The Squad cast made me really excited because only two members are white, excluding Flagg and Enchantress, who arent really members.

Same with the Justice League cast. Love the diversity.

@nickh0801 - I think they purposely made Cara look not sexy... if they had not add that dirt and makeup on her eyes she would be looking smoking hot
