The Joker Steals The Show In New TV Spot For David Ayer's SUICIDE SQUAD

A low-res version of this TV spot started doing the rounds yesterday, but we now have a new look at Jared Leto's Joker in HD quality as he mocks one of his henchmen and shares a laugh with Harley Quin...

Earlier this year, it was rumoured that Warner Bros. ordered Suicide Squad reshoots in order to inject more humour into the movie. Those reports were widely denied and others claimed they simply wanted to tidy up the third act, but it's interesting to note that humour seems to be the name of the game in this new TV spot. However, the biggest highlight here is without a doubt Jared Leto's Joker.

It's also worth pointing out that Enchantress can be seen here bothering some government types as as amused Amanda Waller, something which may debunk theories that she's actually the movie's villain rather than a member of Task Force X. Her role in Suicide Squad remains mysterious either way, and it's going to be interesting to see how much the studio reveals over the next couple of months.

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

Starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Viola Davis, and Ben Affleck, Suicide Squad is set to be released on August 5th, 2016. Are you looking forward to the movie? As always, be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place.
