Task Force X is chock-full of some of the most unique and craziest villains in the DC Universe who really have no choice, but that doesn't stop them from being their crazy selves. The men of David Ayer's Suicide Squad have gotten to know their characters very well and are ready to show the world how evil they can be, starting with Jai Courtney who has embraced Captain Boomerang's abrasive personality. "He's sexist, he's racist, he's a total piece of shit and that's something I've embraced fully," explains Courtney. "It's Boomer's job to state the obvious, do the wrong thing and annoy everybody with his ignorance."
Just like Captain Boomerang and many of the other members of Task Force X, Slipknot has a special set of skills that make him a very dangerous criminal, and Adam Beach says that they come in handy when wanting to make a quick getaway. "I'm a master of ropes. If we need to get out of a situation, nobody can fly. But with my equipment I can fly pretty fast." Considering how Slipknot is rarely seen in the film's trailers, it's more likely he's flying pretty fast towards his death.
Most of the members of the Suicide Squad have very dynamic personalities with only a few exceptions, one of them being the silent gangster El Diablo, played by Jay Hernandez. "There's almost a religious, Zen-like quality to him," says Hernandez. "He's turned his back on his lifestyle. Part of the story is waiting for the moment when he decides to fight so you can see what he can do. When it happens it's phenomenal." Hernandez then went on to talk about how director David Ayer helped get in touch with El Diablo's inner demons. "The stories he's told delve into the seedy underbelly of humanity and he's bringing some of that into this movie through my character. It's such a unique thing to see in a superhero movie."
