Following the soundtrack announcement last week, the first Suicide Squad music video is here, and it's "Heathens" by Twenty One Pilots. There are some new snippets of footage from the movie scattered throughout, while it actually appears to have been shot on the movie's Belle Reve Prison set.

Next up is "Purple Lamborghini" by Skrillex and Rick Ross, and that's set to be unveiled on July 1st. Why should you care? Well, that's the video which Jared Leto suited back up as The Joker for, so it's going to be a lot of fun to see what he did back in costume as the dastardly Clown Prince of Crime...

TwentyOnePilotsSuicideSquad

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

Starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Viola Davis, and Ben Affleck, Suicide Squad is set to be released on August 5th, 2016. Are you looking forward to the movie? As always, be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place.

@SorcererSupreme - I agree. I don't see much story in any of the trailers. But I hope Im wrong and I hope this puts DC back on track

@Tevii - The beauty of it is that we haven't seen any of the story in the trailers. The problem with too many films nowadays is you can piece together the entire story from the trailers alone, whereas this one has shown us very little, but with the help of a brilliant marketing team, they've still generated heavy excitement for the film. I think Ayer has a ton of surprises for us.

@SorcererSupreme - That's what all the DC Films entries have been so far in terms of writing, direction, etc. We just need to hope that everyone recognizes it as that, as opposed to the piles of shit that they have painted Man of Steel and Batman v Superman as.

I'm really liking this song and its video. Maybe I'm biased because I'm part of Twenty One Pilot's core demographic or teenagers and young adults.

How come they didn't get Thirty Second to Mars or Will Smith to contribute to the soundtrack?
