Kevin Smith Ecstatically Reveals The Title Of The SUPERGIRL Season 2 Episode He'll Be Directing

Remember Kevin Smith's unfilmed script for Superman Lives? Well, the Yoga Hosers director has now proudly revealed how the title of the Supergirl season 2 episode he'll helm is tied to it...

As you'll probably have guessed, it's going to be called "Supergirl Lives". Smith made the announcement via a Facebook post, which follows the news that he'll be returning to the CW to direct not only another episode of The Flash, but his first instalment of the network's newly acquired Supergirl show.

The director is a huge fan of the series and was clearly overjoyed when he was informed that the title of his episode would reference his now defunct Superman movie.

Here's an excerpt from his post.

...There's bittersweet poetry to this Super gig: 20 years ago, I wrote a script for a movie called ‪#‎Superman‬ Lives - a Superman reboot that never got off the ground (see the brilliant documentary ‪#‎thedeathofsupermanlives‬ by @jonschnepp for the full story).

The other day, my own personal superhero ‪#‎andrewkreisberg‬ told me something in an email that made me roll a tear: it has nothing to do with the actual plot of my episode, but they titled the script for the one I'm directing "Supergirl Lives." Only way any of this gets better would be if Kara has to fight a giant spider (or "Thanagarian Snare Beast") in the 3rd act...

Supergirl returns for its second season on Monday, Oct. 10.

He should direct an episode where he turns Supergirl into a walrus.

@SuperCat - Do NOT see it. It's awful. But if you want a good chuckle. Google some images of it. It's the strangest thing I've ever seen.

He should direct a scene where she goes to space to search Krypton and come back completely nude (because her suit gor burned when entering to Earth's atmosphere)

I'm kinda getting sick of Kevin smith, he's not really relevant anymore, who cares what the title of his episode is.

@ALostCause - He's the voice of a fair number of fans. Yes, he skews on the dumb side, has the taste and vocabulary of an emotionally stunted frat boy, but I don't dismiss his place in the "nerd ecosystem".
