During the Q&A Friday night at the Hero Complex Film Festival Zack Snyder and Robert Kirkman answerd fans questions

Kirkman came on and joked:
I’m only here to ask him about the Superman movie,”when he was introduced to the festival audience. But Snyder would only say he is in the editing process for the film.

Snyder said that:
“It’s going really good, actually. I’m just cutting right now,”
“I’m really excited about it. It’s fun to work on. It’s gigantic and crazy.”

I know its very short folks, but with the secrecy around the film any news is news at this satge

I am really looking forward to a Superman that fights! Saving stuff from hitting the ground (airplanes, big-ass globes on top of buildings, etc.) is all well and good, but I am soooo ready for a Kryptonian throwdown! Looking forward to this as much as Hobbit and the Marvel movies...and way more than Spidey reboot or Batman threequel.

I'm not at all thrilled with how long the production of this film has been going on.. However, I'm very pleased these guys are taking their time to try and deliver "a sure thing"

Snyder, Goyer, Nolan.. WIN!

The trailer will be released with TDKR
1. TDKR is a Warner Bros film
2. TDKR is also a DC/Legendary Pictures film
3. Nolan/WB usually releases the teaser to next year's film a year before. Usually in JULY
4. TDKR is coming out in JULY
...The list of reasons goes on and on

@Mrthingswehate I believe a JL is now a matter of when rather than if, but I don't want a Marvel route otherwise it is just a copy and I can already imagine the comments.

Lets not forget that the Marvel route wasn't perfect, yeah it promoted the Avengers fantastically, but some of the negativity that was aimed towards Marvel movies, was when they diverted from the films plot to incorporate the Avengers aspects.

When they do, do it and if we want it done, we will have to support the Superman reboot as if it doesn't do well can probably forget about a JL film. However they need to find their own way of doing it.

Perhaps give them all their own film with no ties together, well maybe loose ties like "Wayne Industries" or "Daily Planet" seen in other films, but maybe after they have all had their own movie, maybe give the Villain his own movie, which would tie in everything and make no shame that, that movie is made as a build up to a JL.

@mrthingswehate, Well my friend it doesn't help to build up to a JLA film if you have very few successes in solos films outside of Batman. WB/DC need to focus on getting successfully good solo movies first before going on to JLA. Superman needs to be a good first step since GL failed. Then hopefully we will get good solo films out with Flash and Wonder Woman at least. After that maybe try GL again "reboot or not," and Aquaman.

Oh and DC needs to ditch WB and start their own live action production studio along with the animation

@JamesBond007Skyfall, At this point, it's likely never to happen. WB is practically married to DC right now; it would take something really, really bad to get those two separate. I mean Disney seems to allow Marvel to do there thing and they have the right people in charge from the looks of it. However, we don't have a more independent DC studios, we have DC Entertainment which for the most part is just another department under Warner. Problem is DC doesn't have the independence (control over the film rights, etc.)that Marvel seems to have so in away it's really WB who has control. It's either or the people in charge are just not good decision makers. However, It's all wait and see if WB/DC will finally pick up more steam with MOS and maybe future projects.

This is just my opinion though and to be honest,I'm not sure how much better the movies would be under DC's control (depends on who run's it). In my opinion perhaps Legendary Pictures would be a bit more suitable.
