Superman/Batman: Public Enemies is the new direct-to-DVD animated film from Warner Premier, that has President of the United States Lex Luthor declaring that Superman and, by association, Batman, are enemies of the country and must be brought to justice by any means necessary. One of the most impressive fan-made trailers for movies we'd want to see was posted yesterday on youtube by themanbatman. Called "Whose Side Are You On?", it postulates that General Zod and the Silver Surfer are taking on the DC and Marvel universes. Kneel before Zod!

When Michael Rosenbaum left Smallville for hairier pastures, it created a void that needed to be filled in terms of Clark Kent's primary antagonist. The announcement of Cassidy Freeman as Tess Mercer seemed....odd, but as was revealed throughout the past season, Mercer was anything but a Lex wannabe. I was very surprised that they killed Jimmy Olsen in Smallville's season finale, "Doomsday." But the Jimmy we have been seeing is not the Jimmy from the mythology.

I have been consistantly dissappointed by Smallville's season finales, at least after maybe season four. I thought, with the way this season was building the anticipation to the climactic showdown between Clark and Doomsday, that it would be semi-fulfilling. It was not even that.
