Work on the Fastest Man Alive's movie is about to slow right down as The Flash no longer has a director! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Seth Grahame-Smith has decided to depart the project over "creative differences." That's a reason everyone from Edgar Wright to Michelle MacLaren have given for not working on superhero movies, but seeing as The Flash would have marked Grahame-Smith's directorial debut, perhaps the studio got nervous about putting such an important project in the hands of someone so inexperienced? After all, they need all of these DC Comics adaptations to be a hit after the mixed response to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Who knows, but the trade does mention that The Flash will keep Grahame-Smith's script, something he wrote while working off a treatment by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. Whether or not you believe that's good news will likely depend on how much you enjoyed the likes of Pride & Prejudice & Zombies and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. With a releae date of March 3rd, 2018, Warner Bros. has plenty of time to find a replacement. Ezra Miller is set to star as this version of Barry Allen and will be seen in Justice League next November. How do you feel about this news?

Hmm. The second director to drop out of a DCEU film, which is a "director driven" universe, due to "creative differences".

>universe is "director driven"
>leaves due to "creative differences"

@LEVITIKUZ - i dont think anyone is upset over this since he would be a first time director and screen writer of dark shadows lol

flash deserves a better director

And before people say "Marvel lost Patty and Wright"

A) Marvel never said they were a "filmmaker driven" universe like WB said the DCEU is.

B) Those happened in Phrase 2. Phrase 1 had no directors sign and drop

While I did not like Smith directing Flash due to his lack of directing experience, that doesn't mean this is a good sign for WB and the DCEU if director's keep getting fired from films due to "creative differences".

Only one who didn't was David Ayer because he pitched Suicide Squad and that's his baby.
