After appearing in Jon Favreau's Iron Man, Clark Gregg quickly became a fan favorite to reprise his role in other Marvel projects. Though the extent of his role in Iron Man II has yet to be revealed, we do know he'll be side by side with Sam Jackson's Nick Fury.

Variety has just reported that Clark will also have a part in Kenneth Branagh's Thor, which is currently in it's first days of filming. Marvel has been relentless in brokering deals with actors to make sure audiences will recognize their characters when they crossover to other films. The Marvel Movie Universe seems to be tying in very nicely indeed.

Gregg's most recent film credit is for Marc Webb's [500] Days of Summer". He is a regular on the CBS sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine.

Ever since Robert Downey Jr. accepted his Golden Globe Award wearing his familiar Tony Stark-esque goatee, rumors have abounded that Iron Man is a likely candidate to cameo in Thor as well.

besides...wasn't there some point in the movie where the s.h.i.e.l.d. logo appeared in the background? the image of coulson, pepper potts, and the other agents walking through the parking garage to potts's car keeps coming to mind. was it on the wall or something?

This is great news - I really enjoyed his performance in Iron Man so its good to hear that he'll be back! The fact he's in Thor makes it even more intriguing! :)

If I remember rightly, I think I may have realised he was SHIELD on maybe the second or possibly even first time he mentioned it...it wasnt until he actually said it at the very end though that it really clicked, lol! Man, that and the "I am Iron Man" ending were real goosebump moments! :D

It is very cool how they have used SHIELD to unify everything in these movies. Makes me wonder what the non comic book fan's take on SHIELD is.

That's a good point DogsOfWar.. Don't think we'll find the answer here though lolll :-P.. Unless we ask our non-comicbook loving counterparts.
