EventCinemas announced possible running time: 130 min.

Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins as Odin, “Thor: The Dark World” is directed by Alan Taylor, produced by Kevin Feige, from a story by Don Payne (credit not final) and screenplay by Christopher Yost and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (credit not final) and is based on Marvel’s classic Super Hero Thor, who first appeared in the comic book “Journey into Mystery” #83 in August, 1962.

@ OmegaDaGod..... Both Regal and AMC theaters are doing the marathon. You can check out their websites to see which theater in your closest area is participating.

AMC is doing it for $25 ($30 for dine in theaters) and as of right now, you get a landyard and a one sheet. (quite sure once Regal reveals what they're giving out, AMC might add a lil more. Also both of them are only showing the 3 movies in 3D

@LTTOBTS

Based on previous stuff, you were never excited. Spare us the sly potshots at Thor. If last May I had said all the MOS shots/stills look the same (which I could) and I'm losing my enthusiasm, you would have labeled me a troll.

2 hours and 10 minutes? It's no 2 and a half hours, but I'll take it.

@LIverpool4life, you got to love these passive agressive trolls.

Sorry LTTOBTS, the movie is going to be a success whether you go or not. You are just a sad little DC troll. Keep waiting for the next Batman movie, then the next Batman movie, then the next Batman movie and then....

Looks like they only cut 20 minutes from what Taylor originally wanted. Kind of curious to find out, maybe on dvd, what Taylor wanted to include.

I would prefer it to be a little longer. Long movies tend to explain a lot of things. Which is what I like. If the movie is just 2 hours or less then they better make it count. I'm hoping 2:10 isn't the official time. If it is, oh well.
