"These were pieces made for the first Thor movie for costume designer Alexandra Byrne. I didn't do much on the show as I was only on it for a week or two. The two pieces represent Odin in ceremonial gear as well as more casual clothing. I wanted to make the ceremonial gear very 'Kirby-like' in it's feel. Everything ridiculously wide and vast. All elements point to Odin's face. I also wanted to relate him to the traditional Thor elements (like the disks on his tunic) to tie him to his son. I did the piece in photoshop combining pieces that were digitally hand painted, some photographic elements, and elements from previous versions done by other artists." - Benton Jew

btw, having watched all the deleted scenes from thor... It would have made the movie so much ebtter had they left them in and refined most of them. The beginning scene with Thor and Loki was very brotherly and touching. Loki being passed on the Crown gives more depth that makes sense and it does not make it seem that he usurped the throne. The small scene where Thor and Selvig are singing coming outside the tavern and he later passes out and her picks him up and carries him adds more depth to their relationship.

@TheOneAboveAll

Yea, the deleted scenes in Thor were great. The Fandral scene where he asks the ladies, "Which of you would like to polish my sword?", had me rolling.

The first picture is of Gusto when he was a mere 235 years old.

@Loki Do you really think that Gusto had that body?? More like a beer belly!

Seriously, where would they find a 70+ years old man with these abs? Even if they found someone, he'd look disgusting.

@TheDarkPhoenix

Gusto was using the steroids for his look. That's why his body looks like 150 lbs. of chewed bubblegum now.
