Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.


THOR: THE DARK WORLD is being directed by Alan Taylor ("Game of Thrones") and will be released November 8, 2013. Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman, Rene Russo, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Zachary Levi, Jaimie Alexander, Ray Stevenson, Kat Dennings, Christopher Eccleston, and Idris Elba.

Didn't particularly care for some of the designs thought it kind of stupid for the elves to have guns.

I'm worry about GotG second weekend against Tmnt though, that could hurt it having some legs in the long run

The Rock is good at boosting other Ppl's franchise
But the last time The Rock had his own solo action movie
was Faster and we saw how that went..... Flopped

Tmnt is more of a threat for GotG, cause its aimed at the same audience, plus Tmnt has a well known franchise that has been going 25 yrs or soo.

Sin City and Expendables 3 are somewhat targeting the same audience, which is grown men who love action genre so that will take some money from GotG too. Their are guys out there that don't like cheesy stuff like a talking raccoon and a tree.

Also the August release date is not so great seeing how parents and kids are preparing for school.
